TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

Tournament Dates:  October 13-15, 2017

Qualifier Date: October 7, 2017

Eligibility:

The tournament is open to amateurs who have been:

  • Lunch following completion of round
  • Invited by the Tournament Committee;

  • Past Champions – having active amateur status;

  • Players finishing either within the top twenty of the regular division or the top five mid-amateur division for either of the past two years;

  • Applied online and are accepted by the Tournament Committee;

  • or who have qualified through participation in the Local Qualifier.

Format:

The tournament format is 54 holes, stroke play. The field will be limited to 84 players, with no cut. There will also be a Mid Am Division.

Entry Procedure:

  • You may submit your application, or you may enter the local qualifier directly. Be sure to include a complete resume if you are requesting a Committee invitation. We need this not only for the Committee’s consideration but for the media as well. The final field will consist of Committee invitees and local qualifiers. Applicants are encouraged to submit their application via this web site as early as possible. Beginning July 15th, the committee will begin confirming placements into the final field.

Entry Fee:

  • $299 St. Augustine Amateur

  • $75 St. Augustine Amateur Qualifier (Entry to the qualifier is not used against the tournament entry fee.)

Disruption due to Storms, Hurricanes: In the event the tournament cannot be played on the expected dates due to course damage from storms prior to the event, or evacuations required due to an approaching storm, the tournament will be rescheduled at the earliest practicable date. Player Entry Fee refunds, if any, will only be made after consideration by the Committee of a suitable refund policy.

Walking Only During Tournament Play:

Competitors may carry their own bag or bring a caddie, unless prior arrangements are made with the approval of the committee, all competitors must walk during the competition.

Withdrawals:

Players who withdraw prior to September 29th will be refunded their entry fee less a charge of $25. Players who withdraw between September 29th and October 5th will be refunded $185. After October 6th, no refunds will be made available for any reason.

Practice Privileges:

Practice privileges for paid participants for the tournament proper are available from time of accepted registration. Cart fees are required for practice round participants at current posted cart rate.

October 13th – Friday 

  • 1st Round – Starting Times 9AM-11AM
  • Lunch following completion of round
  • Round 2 tee times will be available from pro shop by 6PM and also listed on this website

October 14th – Saturday 

  • 2nd Round – Starting Times 9AM-11AM
  • Skills Contest after play
  • Lunch following completion of round
  • Round 3 tee times will be available from pro shop by 6PM and also listed on this website

October 15th – Sunday

  • Final Round Starting Times 9AM-11AM
  • Drive, Chip & Putt 11:30AM *The First Tee North Florida participants
  • Lunch following completion of round
  • Awards Ceremony Immediately Following Play
